Denise Welch has opened up about an extremely traumatic time in her life as a stalker set fire to her £1million home during a six month reign of terror.

Denise Welch has revealed that she was left fearing for her life after a stalker started a fire outside of her house. The Loose Women panellist, 63, was forced to flee her home in September 2020 after Toraq Wyngard set fire to a skip outside the property in Cheshire. Following the ordeal, Wyngard was sentenced at Chester Crown Court and received seven years and seven months behind bars earlier this month.

Loose Women star Denise Welch's stalker has been sentenced to jail after starting a fire on the TV panellist's driveway.Toraq Wyngard, 64, was sentenced at Chester Crown Court today, Thursday 7 April, and received seven years and seven months behind bars.The blaze that Wyngard started in 2020 at Denise's home caused over £4,000 worth of damage. Back in September 2021, Wyngard pleaded guilty to stalking, causing serious alarm or distress, between September 18 2020 and February 11 2021. He also admitted charges of possession of a knife, criminal damage, and arson In the wake of his actions, Denise, 63, said she's "permanently scarred".
