It's a huge day in Ireland as the Punchestown Festival kicks off but there's plenty of action closer to home.

Primal Scream brought out Paul Weller for ‘Rocks’ at the Brixton Academy Gig For Gaza benefit show last night (December 13).Weller, former frontman of The Jam, curated the line-up for the benefit show which was raising money for MAP (Medical Aid For Palestinians) and Gaza Forever. Both charities provide essential aid – including food, medical supplies and emergency shelter – for those suffering in Gaza amid the current humanitarian crisis.At the end of Primal Scream’s 45-minute set, Weller joined them for ‘Rocks’, playing the song’s iconic opening riff on guitar.Check out the full set below:The band took to Instagram the next day to thank Weller and his wife Hannah for organising the gig, while also praising the other artists who performed.

Paul Weller has announced a UK headline tour for later this year – you can find all the details below.The former Jam frontman is due to hit the road in the autumn in support of his 17th solo album ’66’, which will be released on May 24 – the day before his 66th birthday (pre-order here).Kicking off in Cheltenham on October 17, the stint also includes stop-offs in Brighton, Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, Llandudno, Liverpool and other locations throughout that month and into early November.The tour is set to conclude with a performance at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, London on November 8.
