Rick Astley has become a surprising favourite from this year's Glastonbury.The Never Gonna Give You Up singer performed his set on the Pyramid Stage before joining pop band, Blossoms for a surprise appearance which sent fans into a flurry. It was the first time Rick had performed at Glastonbury in his almost 40 year music career and he was sure to make it memorial.The 57 year old already won the crowd as he opened the Pyramid Stage on Saturday afternoon with his catchy hits and covers from the likes of Harry Styles and AC/DC. He then went on to surprise fans even further as he made a surprise appearance with the Blossoms on the Woodsies stage in a tribute performance to The Smiths.

Singer Rick Astley has revealed that he “didn’t speak” to his father for more than two decades before he died last year, due to their complicated relationship. After his parents divorced, Rick’s father Horace raised the singer from five years old, however, Rick ended up cutting ties with his father as he was a “complicated person”.The Never Gonna Give You Up singer, 57, didn’t contact his dad for 25 years before Horace died last year in his 80s.
