Last Friday, during the third episode of “The Mandalorian” Season 2, the first major character (of several) that originally appeared in the ‘Clone Wars’ and ‘Rebels’ animated series, Bo-Katan, made her live-action debut, played by Katee Sackhoff, who voiced the character during the aforementioned earlier appearances. Not much is known about the extent of Bo-Katan’s involvement in the rest of the ‘Mandalorian’ episodes, but Sackhoff hints that the character is a major part of what’s to come.

Season 2 of has had no shortage of guest stars, with Katee Sackhoff officially joining the ranks as Bo-Katan Kryze in episode three, “Chapter 11: The Heiress,” on the live-action Disney+ series starring Pedro Pascal. What makes the former star’s appearance more notable than the rest, which has included Timothy Olyphant, Titus Welliver and the return of Amy Sedaris among others, is that she’s reprising a role that she originally voiced on . “It’s pretty surreal to be honest,” Sackhoff tells ET’s Ash Crossan.

Lucasfilm’s “The Mandalorian” began with a fascinating concept that intrigued “Star Wars” fans a little tired of the same old story: a familiar armor, but ultimately new character living on the fringes of the “Star Wars” galaxy after the fall of the Empire post-“Return Of The Jedi.” Yes, the character concept was similar to Boba Fett—another Mandalorian character—and the unnamed Mando warrior was a mercenary bounty hunter like just like Fett.
