Mexican music’s big year will be well represented by Peso who returns to the Latin AMA stage after making his TV debut there last year. Peso, along with reggaeton star Feid, is the most nominated artist of the night with 12 recognitions, including nods in coveted categories like artist of the year, new artist of the year, song of the year, album of the year, and collaboration of the year, among others.

The Colombian singers are followed by Rauw Alejandro, who holds nine, and Farruko, with eight.Karol, Balvin, Rauw and Farruko overlap in three categories: favorite streaming artist, catchiest song, viral track of the year and the night’s biggest prize, album of the year.

Although he’s been in the position for some time, it was made official today by Atlantic Records Group, which announced Ben-Horin’s promotion to executive VP, global A&R. Premio Lo Nuestro is becoming a can't-miss event!The second round of performers were announced by Univision on Tuesday, and include Anitta, Pitbull, Manuel Turizo and more.The Brazilian singer and urban star Justin Quiles will premiere on TV the remix version of “Envolver.” Anitta will also perform her song “No Chão Novinha." Chimbala and El Alfa will perform with previously announced artist Natti Natasha. El Fantasma, Pepe Aguilar, Elvis Martinez, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Yuri, Manuel Turizo, Ovi, Gente de Zona, IAmChino and Deorro will also take the stage.The new artists join previously announced performers Sebastián Yatra, CNCO, Laura Pausini, and Sting, among others.

Justin Quiles joined Billboard Latin’s assistant editor Jessica Roiz for an Instagram Live Q&A to talk all about his new single “Pam,” quarantine life, and more on May 1.The Puerto Rican singer, who exclusively premiered the music video for “Pam” on Billboard, revealed how the collaboration was born, saying that the song was originally meant to be only him and El Alfa.
