The Circle runner-up Freddie Bentley was reportedly arrested after defending himself from a group of men shouting homophobic slurs at him. Freddie, 24, shot to fame on the 2018 series of the show, and was said to have been recognised while out in Essex over the weekend. Allegedly the men referred to him as “the gay c*** from the telly”, sparking Freddie to respond and defend himself.

The Only Way is Essex has recently returned to our screens, and it's been all go since the last series, with Harry Derbidge and Joe Blackman's acrimonious split taking centre stage. Joe first appeared on the ITV favourite as Harry's boyfriend in series 32, and they seemed like the perfect couple, but things have since gone downhill.
