Doja Cat has released a new single titled ‘Vegas’, lifted from the soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann’s forthcoming Elvis biopic.Released today (May 6), Doja’s new single takes the well-known song – originally sung by blues artist Big Mama Thornton in 1952, and famously covered by Elvis Presley four years later – and makes it her own. Coldplay‘s Chris Martin covered Spice Girls’ ‘2 Become 1’ with Mel C at a charity concert in LA last night (October 23).The band performed at Audacy’s We Can Survive show at the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday night, which was held in honour of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the US.The sixth annual concert was held in collaboration with Young Survival Coalition and also featured appearances from the likes of Black Eyed Peas, Doja Cat, Shawn Mendes and The Kid Laroi.Towards the end of the band’s set, Martin performed an acoustic cover of the 1996 track with member Mel C.
