Matt was initially a divisive host amongst fans however viewers soon warmed to him.

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer is back for more with some of our fave celebs showing off their baking skills – but only one can be crowned Star Baker. Competing in the tent this week alongside Example are Annie McManus, Ed Gamble and Matt Lucas. They’ll follow in the footsteps of Gareth Malone, Laura Whitmore, Ruby Wax, and Yung Filly, who caused utter chaos in the tent last week.

Example has revealed that Matt Lucas had to step in as a contestant on The Great Celebrity Bake Off after Martine McCutcheon pulled out of the show last minute. The Great British Bake Off special in aid of Stand up to Cancer has seen a new host of celebrities step into the famous tent to bake for the judges, Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood.

Taskmaster has cryptically shared the forthcoming release date for series 13.In a graphic introducing the new participants, there also features a QR code guiding fans to an external page which itself redirects to the Taskmaster Twitter account banner.There, a message in the bottom left corner tells fans to go and visit the Taskmaster Instagram page.A message in the bottom right corner of the latest post reads the URL https://bit.ly/tmseries13, which redirects to the below YouTube video.Take a look here:In it, the show’s creator Little Alex Horne can be seen saying to camera that series 13 will begin on April 14 at 9pm on Channel 4 and All4.Comedians Chris Ramsey, Bridget Christie and Sophie Duker will all appear in series 13, alongside Father Ted star Ardal O’Hanlon and Loose Women panellist Judi Love.The most recent series featured Robinson, Alan Davies, Victoria Cohen Mitchell, Desiree Burch and Guz Khan.Another Taskmaster: Champion Of Champions special, which brings back previous winners, is scheduled to be released this year. The show will feature Liza Tarbuck, Kerry Godliman, Lou Sanders, Ed Gamble and Richard Herring, who won series six to 10 respectively.

The Great British Bake Off, returns once again as a whole of host of stars take on baking challenges in an effort to raise money and awareness for Stand Up to Cancer. The Channel 4 series, which started on airing on Tuesday March 22, will see contestants take on a range of challenges including making decorated biscuits, a technical round involving making madeleines and an another round to showcase their secret baking talents.

Sir Mo Farah, singer Ellie Goulding and Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse. Other stars who will put their baking skills to the test include comedian and creator of Taskmaster Alex Horne, TV presenter Emma Willis, singer-songwriter Example and choirmaster Gareth Malone. Also hoping to impress the judges are radio DJ Annie Mac, actor and author Ben Miller, The Inbetweeners star Blake Harrison, and TV and radio presenter Clara Amfo.

THE Great British Menu's Ed Gamble lost a jaw-dropping seven stone after a teenage diabetes diagnosis. Ed, 35, is a judge on the BBC cookery show alongside chefs Tom Kerridge and Nisha Katona.

Bake Off host Matt Lucas is set to be a contestant on the new celebrity series.During filming a star pulled out at the last minute, so the comedian, 47, agreed to take their place.He said: “I was forced to bake by my bosses at the last minute when one of the bakers became unavailable.“I can’t tell you how happy I was that my humiliation was caught on camera!”The stunt means Matt had to try to impress co-stars Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.Other celebs taking part include Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah, presenter Ruby Wax, choirmaster Gareth Malone; actress Katherine Kelly and Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse.Completing the line-up are comics Yung Filly, Alex Horne, Mawaan Rizwan and Ed Gamble, DJs Annie Mac and Clara Amfo, actors Ben Miller and Blake Harrison, singers Ellie Goulding and Example, presenters Emma Willis, Laura Whitmore and Sophie Morgan as well as actress Tracy-Ann Oberman.The series, which is in aid of Stand Up To Cancer, will air on Channel 4 this spring.Little Britain star Matt previously came under fire for controversial comments he made during an episode of the Channel 4 seires.According to viewers, he suggested going gluten-free was only a "fashion" choice for many people, but they were quick to point out that coeliac disease is a very real and potentially serious issue.The theme of the show was 'free-from', and as Noel Fielding explained to the quarter finalists that the cakes were required to be "beautifully decorated" with two tiers, Matt replied: "Like the two tears I shed for my gluten brothers who have been cast aside for the wants and vagaries of fashion."Several viewers then took to Twitter to criticise Matt for his remark.One said: "Gluten free isn't the 'vagaries and fripperies', coeliacs have no

Peep Show star David Mitchell is set to host a new game show featuring members of the Taskmaster team.According to a synopsis, Outsiders, which is a new original show set to air on Dave, will see Mitchell “challenge” a returning cast of three pairs of comedians to prove they’ve got the mettle and skills to thrive in the great outdoors.”The returning cast of comedians will include Taskmaster regulars Ed Gamble, Jamali Maddix, Jessica Knappett, Kerry Godliman and Lou Sanders alongside Toussaint Douglass.Speaking of the new show, Mitchell, who co-developed the show’s format alongside producers Renegade Pictures, said: “Civilisation is clearly crumbling so it’s high time we worked out whether we can cope without it.
