One Direction star announces major TV role inspired by daughter - ‘This will be cool to show her’

Zayn Malik has announced that he is the latest celebrity to settle down in a comfy chair and read a bedtime story on kids TV series CBeebies Bedtime Story.The former One Direction singer, who is dad to three year old daughter Khai, will read from Music is in Everything on Wednesday 22 May, a book about the power and beauty of song written by reggae musician Ziggy Marley. From the sound of ocean waves to banging pots and pans in the kitchen, from a loved one's laughter to the ‘river's latest tune’, Ziggy’s story tells children that you don't need an instrument to create a beautiful song. It is one of a series of books for children that Ziggy, the son of legendary musician Bob Marley, has written – he is also the author of A Kids Book About Love, I Love You Too and My Dog Romeo.
