Variety, BAFTA film chair Sara Putt said the British Academy’s thoughts were “very, very much” with everyone in California who had been impacted. “It’s a dreadful, dreadful time,” she said, adding that BAFTA hadn’t made “any specific decisions” about whether it would move the dates for the final round of voting.
However, she did note that, as per general BAFTA policy, those who weren’t able to vote in the second round could still come back to vote for the final winner.
The BAFTA Film Awards ceremony will take place Feb. 16 from London’s Royal Festival Hall with “Doctor Who” star David Tennant returning as host.
