Corey Taylor has given an update on Slipknot’s new album and its expected arrival date.In a new interview on Down To Hell with Doug Bradley, the Slipknot frontman said that they’re now in the process of mixing the album with an anticipated summer release date.He said: “We don’t have a hard [release] date yet ’cause we’re lazy and we’re still mixing the damn thing.”He continued: “I can tell you it’s completely recorded and we’re about halfway through mixing it. So, to me, I would say probably two or three months [from now].

Slipknot have announced that their upcoming July shows in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus are being postponed in light of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.The Iowan metal band took to social media on Wednesday (March 2) to break the news, saying that new dates will be arranged for the three postponed concerts in Kyiv, Moscow and Minsk. Corey Taylor has revealed what his favourite Metallica song is during a question and answer session with fans.The Slipknot frontman was appearing at the Mad Monster Party convention between February 18-20 and in a 45 minute Q&A with fans, he said his favourite Metallica track was from their 1986 album, ‘Master Of Puppets’.Without hesitation, Taylor said his favourite song from that was ‘Disposable Heroes’.He said: “That song…you guys have got to remember, when that album came out [in 1986], I was young and I walked to buy the tape at the local Sam Goodie, which…is a fucking record store and a longer story than I want to get into.“So I walked to the local mall to buy the tape at Sam Goodie. Slipknot‘s Corey Taylor has announced that he’s set to release a B-sides album of his solo debut record ‘CMFT’ this month.‘CMFT’ came out last year, and as Taylor explained in a new interview, the accompanying album is due on February 25 and will feature acoustic recordings and cover versions from the album’s sessions.Speaking on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, he revealed details about the record, saying: “The first single will actually be February 11th, and people will be able to download that. Corey Taylor has shared a few new details about Slipknot‘s forthcoming seventh album, revealing that he likes it more than their last.Speaking in a new interview with HardDrive Radio, the frontman talked about working on the band’s new material with producer “Evil” Joe Barresi (Tool, Avenged Sevenfold, Nine Inch Nails) during lockdown.“When we started first putting the new music together, it was a lot of flying around, people doing it in certain spots and trying to get the best out of it even though we were in the confines of lockdowns and stuff,” Taylor said. “So it was tricky.
