Michaela Zee editor Lindsay Lohan is embracing the holiday spirit this fall with Netflix’s rom-com “Falling for Christmas.” Starring Lohan and “Glee” alum Chord Overstreet, the film revolves around a newly engaged and spoiled heiress (Lohan) who, after being diagnosed with amnesia due to a skiing accident, subsequently lands in the care of a blue-collar lodge owner (Overstreet) and his daughter. In addition to Lohan and Overstreet, the film stars Jack Wagner, George Young, Blythe Howard, Chase Ramsey and Olivia Perez. “Falling for Christmas” is directed by Janeen Damian and marks her directorial debut. The “Christmas Waltz” and “Much Ado About Christmas” writer and producer also co-wrote the screenplay with husband Michael Damian (“Hot Tamale,” “Moondance Alexander”), Jeff Bonnett (“Love by the Book”) and Ron Oliver (“Operation Christmas,” “Harvest Moon”). MPCA’s Brad Krevoy and Riviera Films’ Michael Damian serve as producers on the film. MPCA is behind several Netflix Christmas films, including the “A Christmas Prince” franchise, “Operation Christmas Drop” and “A Castle for Christmas.”

Lori Loughlin is returning to Great American Family to headline Fall Into Winter, her first romantic comedy for the network. The casting follows Loughlin’s appearance on the network in When Hope Calls Christmas in a reprisal of her role of Abigail Stanton from Hallmark Channel’s When Calls The Heart. Fall Into Winter begins production October 23 for premiere in January 2023 as part of the network’s annual winter programming event.

Netflix has started rounding out the cast for its Lindsay Lohan-led romantic comedy Irish Wish, with Ed Speleers (Outlander), Alexander Vlahos (Sanditon), Ayesha Curry (A Black Lady Sketch Show), Elizabeth Tan (Emily in Paris) and Jane Seymour (The Kominsky Method) signing on for roles.

Ed Speleers (“Outlander,” “Downton Abbey”), Alexander Vlahos (“Outlander”), Ayesha Curry (“About Last Night,” “A Black Lady Sketch Show”), Elizabeth Tan (“Emily in Paris”) and Jane Seymour (“The Kominsky Method,” “Wedding Crashers”) have joined the cast of the Netflix movie, though it’s unclear who anyone is playing in “Irish Wish.” The movie centers on Lohan’s character Maddie, who has to put aside her feelings when the love of her life gets engaged to another woman… who happens to be her best friend. Days before the couple is set to marry in Ireland, Maddie makes a spontaneous wish for true love, only to wake up as the bride-to-be. With her dream seeming to come true, Maddie soon realizes that her real soulmate is someone else entirely.

Candance Cameron Bure is set to to star in and executive produce A Christmas…Present holiday movie, her first project with Great American Media since signing her deal with the company (then GAC Media) earlier this year. The movie is slated to premiere on the Great American Family network in November.

Mean Girls and The Parent Trap star Lindsay Lohan is set to headline the Netflix romantic comedy, Irish Wish, as part of the actress’ two picture creative partnership with the streamer.

Kim Murphy Netflix has revealed the second installment of its two-picture deal with Lindsay Lohan, announcing on Thursday the actress will star in the romantic comedy “Irish Wish.” In the film, Lohan will play Maddie, a bridesmaid attending a wedding in Ireland between her best friend and… the love of her life. After a wish gone awry, Maddie wakes up in a world where she become the betrothed, only to discover that reality isn’t one she really wants. “Irish Wish” will be the second Netflix-set romantic comedy to star Lohan. The first is “Falling for Christmas,” which is set to debut on the streaming service on Nov. 10. The holiday meet-cute features Lohan as a newly engaged heiress who takes a tumble while skiing and wakes up with a case of amnesia.

British actor Regé-Jean Page is in high demand in Hollywood. Since his appearance as Simon Basset in the Shonda Rhimes Netflix show Bridgerton, which earned him an Emmy nomination, he has appeared in big budget films like The Gray Man, and his role as The Paladin in Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. 

Jill Wagner and Cameron Mathison will co-star in the upcoming GAC Family holiday film The Christmas Farm set to premiere during the network’s annual “Great American Christmas” celebration.

Emily Longeretta The 2022 holiday season is underway at GAC Family. Merritt Patterson and Daniel Lissing will star in “Catering Christmas” (working title), set to being production on April 3. The movie is the first announced movie in GAC Family’s annual Great American Christmas slate.“Catering Christmas” follows Molly Frost (Patterson) as she struggles to launch her new catering business and unexpectedly lands New Hampshire’s biggest event of the year.

Sadie Robertson is returning to TV in a new scripted show based on her novel, "Life Just Got Real." The series will follow two high school girls from different backgrounds who join a reality TV show later to realize "life is messy, love is hard, and second chances don’t come around every day." Robertson will serve as a producer and make some guest appearances, according to Deadline.  Alfonso H.
