Performer to turn near-death experience into comedy at Edinburgh Fringe

Krystal Evans will recount the horrors of March 19, 2000, when a fire ravaged her house and left her with 30 per cent burns to her body - for the crowds to laugh about.
The 37-year-old has realised finding humour in the darkest moments is the way she’s wired up and make no apologies for it.The Scottish Daily Express reports that her debut hour at the Fringe will cover her childhood memories of death, tragedy and difficult family relations, triggered by her post-natal depression.Krystal said: “I’m a lucky person because I am quite resilient.
I don’t know if I have made myself like that or if it comes naturally. I make jokes about things. That’s how I communicate. I always have.”Recounting the horror night when she was airlifted to hospital after an aggressive blaze tore through her home, she said: “It was the middle of the night.
I woke up and the house was on fire.“There were flames coming through my bedroom door so there was no way to get out of the room I was in.
