'Stabbing' near Edinburgh's Royal Mile as man is rushed to hospital

A man has been rushed to hospital after a suspected 'stabbing' in Edinburgh city centre.A huge police presence was seen on the Royal Mile at Crichton's Close after they were alerted to the disturbance at 5.30pm on Friday, August 25.Eyewitnesses told Edinburgh Live that a number of police cars flocked to Canongate on Friday before taping off Crichton's Close where a man had been found injured.His condition is unknown.

Two police vans were seen outside the Royal Mill Souvenir Shop on the Canongate.Police confirmed a man was found injured.
