Wishaw face 'big couple of weeks' in bid to turn around poor season start

Wishaw boss David Dunn will rally round his squad and says they face a big couple of weeks in the West of Scotland Second Division in their bid to turn around a struggling season.Dunn says he had 11 players unavailable on Saturday as they lost 3-0 at Vale of Clyde, just days after beating Larkhall Thistle 2-0.The frustrated Beltane gaffer says his side are continually shooting themselves in the foot, and something needs to change.And he believes Saturday’s clash at home to Glasgow Perthshire is now huge as they bid to climb off the bottom.“We need to get together as a squad and it’s a big couple of weeks ahead,” he said. “If we had won on Saturday I would still have said we’ve had a poor start, but if we had won we would have gone up six places in the league or something like that.“I don’t like making excuses, but we had 11 folk unavailable and had to use four under-20s, who had played on the Friday night, so it wasn’t ideal.“We had something like 13 in our squad, and we had to make two subs in the first 10 minutes with people going off injured – it just seems to be one thing after another.“Saturday with Glasgow Perthshire is huge, now, and I need to assess it, because we had those two injuries.“We have a few coming back, maybe another three or four which will help, but it’s a big week for us, because we need to get a positive response.“It hasn’t been good enough, and for a lot of that, let’s be honest, it has been our own fault, giving away goals.”Dunn had some words of comfort for Wishaw’s second-half performance, but says it’s still not good enough.“We came out in the second half and did very well, considering what was available,” he said.“There wasn’t a lot between the teams, but it’s individual errors again.“It’s
