With last Saturday (January 25) marking the 18th anniversary of Take That's hit 'Shine', it seems some fans are just now uncovering the song's true meaning.

The track, which was the second single from their comeback album 'Beautiful World', brought Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald, and Jason Orange back together after their 1996 split. 'Shine', penned by Mark, soared to the top of the UK Singles Chart and sold over 1.2 million copies.

A throwback video of the song was posted on X by UK Back in the Day to celebrate the anniversary, leading to a revelation for fan Sian Thymes years after its release.

She confessed: "The Morrisons-ification of this song made me loath it, but recently finding out Mark Owen wrote it about Robbie Williams has warmed my heart and won me back over."
