People are only just realising the origins of Black Sabbath's name – and what it actually means. The Ozzy Osbourne-featuring band are set to play their last-ever show at Villa Park later this summer, with the likes of Metallica and Slayer appearing at the "Back to the Beginning" show.
The heavy metal band, best-known for hits like War Pigs and Paranoid, got their name from a classic horror feature, with fans only just realising the link between the two.
A post to r/todayilearned on Reddit has since seen fans of the band learn about the film that influenced Osbourne and the group.
Initially a blues band named Earth, the group later morphed into Black Sabbath after viewing a horror film which featured Frankenstein's Boris Karloff.
