Take That, probably the biggest act of the Boy Band era and record-breaking successors to The Beatles in English music history, continue to ride the wave of success with a new Netflix documentary on the horizon and a BAFTA appearance tonight.
However, Mark Owen has confessed that the band has endured 35 years with what he considers a "cr*p" name, revealing that the alternatives they had once pondered were even less appealing. In their formative days, before Robbie Williams, Howard Donald, and Jason Orange joined, Gary Barlow and Mark Owen referred to their duo as The Cutest Rush.

Despite their success, Mark told The Sun: "There have been times when we've been a bit embarrassed about our name."Interestingly, the longer "and party" segment of their name resurfaced as the title of Take That's debut album, released the subsequent year.
