Paulo Dybala is set to leave Juventus on a free transfer at the end of the season. Manchester United held talks to sign Dybala in 2019 when opening dialogue with Juventus over a possible swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku.

Dybala received assurances over his future at the Italian club instead and Lukaku moved to Inter Milan for £74m. Dybala, 28, has failed to reach an agreement over a new contract with Juventus and he's now set to leave as a free agent, putting an end to his seven years spent in Turin.

The player's representatives will now open talks with other clubs, and United and Tottenham - who were both interested in the player three years ago - have both been linked to Dybala yet again. United will look to sign a centre-forward this summer but Dybala doesn't exactly have the profile of a prolific striker. Dybala is not a traditional centre-forward, however, he has managed to score 13 goals across 29 appearances this season.
