Paul O'Grady's widow recalls harrowing details of star's sudden death

As it nears a year since Paul O'Grady's tragic death, his widow, Andre Portasio, has spoken out, for the first time, to give his heart-wrenching account of the moment he found his partner in their home.

Paul, who presented programmes including The Paul O’Grady Show, Blankety Blank and For The Love Of Dogs, died at the age of 67 after going into sudden cardiac arrhythmia.

But prior to the incident, Andre recalls the couple having the 'most ordinary day' in their Kent home - going on a walk, watching the news, and drinking tea.

Recalling the moment he found Paul in their kitchen, Andre told Tom Bryant of The Mirror: "He left to get some tea, and I heard this loud bang.
