Ever since George Knight arrived in EastEnders last Summer, it’s safe to say the character hasn’t exactly had the smoothest time in Walford.
From discovering his ex-wife Rose Knight was actually an alter-ego for Cindy Beale, through to discovering he was bought by his adoptive parents in a shocking ‘farming’ storyline, George has been wrestling with some pretty big troubles.
Yet his life was turned upside down even further during Thursday night’s episode (11 April), when his adoptive father Eddie was successfully found guilty of murder, after brutally killing George’s birth father Henry Kofi Asare in a racially motivated attack.
Prior to his conviction, George’s adoptive mum Gloria had begged her son to defend Eddie, but having seen firsthand his cruelty, later changed her tune and urged George to testify against him instead.
