Paul Merson has urged Manchester United to sign Sofyan Amrabat, claiming the Morocco midfielder will "hold his shape" better than Casemiro will when the Reds are on the attack.
United are in talks with Fiorentina about a late move for the midfielder. Amrabat has one year left on his contract and has been continually linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer.
Erik ten Hag's midfield has been heavily scrutinised in the opening three Premier League games, particularly from a defensive point of view.
Merson believes Amrabat would add stability to their midfield and ensure they're tighter at the back. "They need someone now, they're too open," Merson told Sky Sports.
