Parents of a 15-year-old girl killed in the Manchester Arena bombing told an inquiry into the attack of their grief yesterday.
The parents of Megan Hurley said their “hearts have been shattered into a million pieces”. Michael and Joanne added: “Megan was a very caring girl who found joy in helping others.” The former prom queen of Halewood in Merseyside was described as having the “most beautiful heart and smile”.
Her parents proudly recalled a teacher saying to them: “If we had a school full of Megans, what a school we would have.” Families of the 22 victims killed by bomber Salman Abedi on May 22, 2017, are giving the inquiry insight into their lives.
