BBC's Panorama will investigate itself over claims surrounding how Martin Bashir secured his explosive interview with Princess Diana in 1995.

The broadcaster will reportedly air a special 30 minute programme in which it will include an interview with Earl Spencer, the brother of the late Princess, as the show investigates the circumstances surrounding how Bashir obtained the interview.

The news comes amid claims that Bashir had 'lied' to help him get the interview, in which Diana famously said that there were "three people" in her marriage to Prince Charles, as a hint to his relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles.
