'Outrage' over appalling state of war heroes' graves falling into ruin in Manchester cemetery

A student is appealing for a graveyard in Blackley to be cleaned to honour the fallen war heroes buried there. Criminal psychology student and sculpture artist Luca Dedici, 26, who lives in Blackley, is calling for the local authorities or a body like the Commonwealth War Graves Commission to clean up the graveyard at St Peter's Church.

Located at Lion Brow, the graveyard contains 10 commonwealth burials of the First World War and a further seven from the Second World War.

While taking a walk through the graveyard with a friend, Luca was shocked to discover the poor condition of the site. There is no clear path to walk around the graveyard.
