Outlander stars Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish have been nominated for an award alongside Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey.Sam, 41, and Graham, 61, who co-wrote Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare, and a Scottish Adventure Like No Other have been nominated for an Audie Award alongside great company.

The awards are due to take place on March 4 and they celebrate the best titles in audio publishing and spoken-word entertainment, honouring a varied group of actors, musicians, and politicians.

Sam, from Dumfries, took to Twitter to share his delight at the nomination writing: "So proud the audible version of “Clanlands” has made it io the final of the #audieawards!

Great company to keep huh @grahammctavish?!"Fans were absolutely buzzing at the news and could not be happier. One wrote: "Great Company indeed!
