Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bring Josh King to the club this summer but the club are yet to give the green light to make a move.
The Red Devils tried to sign the Norway international in January but ended up sealing a loan transfer for former Watford forward Odion Ighalo instead.
King is now expected to leave the Cherries this summer after their relegation to the Championship, and he could be available for £15-20million.
The forward is entering the final year of his deal on the south coast but also wants to remain in the Premier League. And he is being linked with several clubs, including Aston Villa, but the player’s preference is to rejoin United, the club he played for as a trainee.
