Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has explained why he brought off Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof at half time against Bournemouth.The Swede played the first 45 minutes in the Red Devils’ 5-2 win over the Premier League relegation battlers.He was replaced by Eric Bailly for the second period, who gave away a penalty within three minutes when he misread Nemanja Matic’s pass and was judged to have handled the ball.And the manager has explained that he was forced into the move due to a Lindelof injury concern.Speaking on BT Sport after the game, Solskjaer said: “He struggled today with his back, so hopefully he won’t be gone for too long.” Lindelof was part of the defence that had a bad start to the game at Old Trafford, with Harry Maguire.
