One person was rushed to hospital in an air ambulance while 'multiple others' were injured after a serious crash on the M6 this morning.
The smash happened near Warrington just before 7.50am this morning (Monday) with the motorway fully shut off in both directions as emergency services responded.
Police said two HGVs, a white Ford Zetec and a white Ford Kuga were involved in the crash. One person was airlifted to hospital from the scene with a serious chest injury.
Officers said a 'number of other casualties' were rushed to hospital by paramedics.
