Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has described Bruno Fernandes as a “big player” and has shared his admiration for the Manchester United captain.
United will look to build on Boxing Day’s 3-2 comeback win over Aston Villa by downing their Midlands rivals on Saturday. Fernandes has tallied five goals and five assists so far this season, meaning he has provided the most goal contributions within the squad.
Santo says United have a number of threats but pinpointed Fernandes as one his Forest side - who beat Newcastle 3-1 this week - should be wary of.
Speaking to the media on Friday, he said: “We have to compete very well and improve defensively – especially in terms of defending our own box.
