Noel Gallagher announces huge outdoor show in Wigan as Robin Park prepares for five days of live music
manchestereveningnews.co.ukNoel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have announced plans for a huge outdoor gig in Wigan next year. The band, fronted by the former Oasis star, will perform at the 11,500 capacity Robin Park on Thursday, July 18.
The show comes hot on the heels of their critically-acclaimed fourth studio album Council Skies, which was released earlier this year.
The band performed in front of 25,000 people as part of a huge sold-out show at Wythenshawe Park earlier this year. During the ‘triumphant homecoming’ show, Noel made light-hearted jibes at Manchester United as crowds sang back lyrics to his classic tracks. The Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds show will be one of five huge gigs taking place across five days at the Robin Park. James Arthur will kick off proceedings on July 17, followed by Noel and the gang the next day.
