Nicola Sturgeon has been urged to rethink the reopening date of gyms in Scotland amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Scottish Government announced last week that the reopening date for gyms will fall on September 14.

However, the First Minister indicated that the date could be brought forward as part of the Government's review in two weeks' time.Bosses at PureGym have said they are “extremely disappointed” by the Government’s initial date.All 24 of the firm’s Scottish gyms have been closed since March and it insists that the majority of its 120,000 members are desperate to get back to their workouts.The gym chain says that it is into the 12th week of reopening its gyms in Switzerland and 7th week of reopening them in Denmark.
