Newcastle United have reportedly decided not to trigger Valentino Lazaro's €20m (£18m) purchase option but they are open to resigning him on loan, according to various reports in Italy.

The 24-year-old has made 11 Premier League appearances under Steve Bruce but has started just three of those games. According to a report from Sky Italia, the 'new ownership' of the club would like to discuss a potential new loan agreement with Inter Milan next season rather than fork out the cash to make the move permanent.

However, it also states that several Bundesliga sides are also interested in Lazaro's services.Lazaro's agent Max Hagmayr spoke about his client's future last month, claiming he is simply "focused" on completing the current season as.
