Inter Milan are keen on keeping Manchester United’s expensive striker Alexis Sanchez. The Serie A club secured a short extension to Sanchez’s loan deal so that he could see out the rescheduled domestic season at the San Siro but that is due to expire in early August.
Now Inter’s chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has admitted he wants Sanchez to stay on their books to play in the Europa League and did not rule out the possibility of a permanent move.
Marotta, who agreed his club would pay £4.5million towards the Chilean’s £500,000-a-week United contract for his services this season, described the European situation as an “anomaly”.
