New helicopter footage has revealed search teams continuing in their rescue mission to find missing British teenager Jay Slater.

The 19-year-old from Lancashire vanished on Monday morning (June 17) after reportedly walking off into the mountains alone. It is thought he stayed at a remote Airbnb north of Masca village, nestled in the vast mountainous landscape. The Civil Guard, the authority leading the search and rescue operation, has now released brand new footage of the ongoing efforts, that are focusing on a 30km wide area encompassing three “treacherous” and “dangerous” ravines.

Dramatic camera footage shows helicopters hovering over the dramatic landscape, with members of mountain rescue teams combing through mass undergrowth and meeting at the search base, around half a mile north of Masca, to map out their next move.
