Dermot O'Leary is said to be the "favourite" to replace Phillip Schofield on This Morning, after the latter announced his departure over the weekend, after 21 years of fronting the show.
Dermot's Friday co-host Alison Hammond is also said to be in the running, after striking up a firm friendship with Holly Willoughby, who is remaining on the show without Phillip.
Bookmaker Coral has reported that Dermot, however, has overtaken Alison as the favourite to secure a more regular slot on This Morning.
Coral said: "Following support in our betting, Dermot O'Leary has jumped to the top of the betting to replace Phillip Schofield permanently on This Morning." Alison is still the second favourite to regularly present alongside Holly with high odds currently sitting at 6-4, whilst other names in the running include Rochelle Humes.
