This Morning has been a very different place over the last few days after Phillip Schofield announced that he was leaving the show he had hosted for 21 years.
But now, details have emerged of his return to TV for the first time since his exit from ITV1's flagship daytime programme. Phil, 61, is due back on telly as the host of the British Soap Awards, although it won't be a return to live TV as the ceremony is set to air on ITV a few days after it takes place.This year's awards will be at The Lowry in Manchester on Saturday, 3 June, but will be pre-recorded to air on Tuesday, 6 June at 8pm - Phil's first time back on TV since his final This Morning episode on Thursday, 18 May.
Each year, the awards alternate between venues in the south and the north, with shows including EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale vying for recognition in categories such as best soap, best leading performer and villain of the year.
Phil announced he was leaving This Morning on Saturday, 20 May with immediate effect amid reports of a rift with co-star Holly Willoughby, who had long been a close friend.
