A newly-qualified driver was arrested for testing positive for cannabis when pulled over by police officers in Stalybridge. Greater Manchester Police were following the driver due to their "style of driving" on High Street in the town centre.
When pulled over by officers, they could smell the drugs inside the vehicle before the driver, who had only passed his driving test four months prior, tested positive for cannabis.
He was subsequently arrested and taken to custody. A statement on Greater Manchester Police Traffic's official Twitter account on Tuesday morning read: "#XT48 High Street, Stalybridge - Stopped due to style of driving. "Driver says 'I only passed my test 4 months ago'.
