Detectives say they are still trying identify 'one outstanding individual' after a protest outside Rochdale police station. An investigation into 'an outbreak of disorder' on Thursday, July 25, is ongoing.
The protest came after after a video surfaced in which a GMP officer appeared to kick and stamp on a man's head at Manchester Airport.
The Pc in the video is under criminal investigation for assault, the IOPC has confirmed. Today (Friday) police released a CCTV image of a man they are 'seeking to identify' in connection with the police station protest.
Three man - Waqas Mushtaq, 24, of Briar Street, Rochdale; Nadeem Aslam, 31, of Glenridding Close, Oldham and Safwan Khan, 25, of Coopers Walk, Rochdale - have been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with violent disorder.
