The effects of the coronavirus will show up in only part of the January-to-March quarter, especially for companies with significant operations in the U.S., where the pandemic’s effects kicked in just a few weeks ago.
Even so, the quarterly numbers — and the commentary by management teams — will offer the most definitive look yet at the financial impact of the virus.
