The ex-Serbia international has revealed he tried to stop his long-time central defensive partner from tearing up after the Red Devils beat the Blues on penalties at the 2008 final.
Vidic told United’s official website the famous night in Moscow produced one of his strongest memories of the centre-back turned TV pundit.
But one thing the United legend seemingly couldn’t remember was that it is possible to cry out of happiness, as was surely the case for Ferdinand.
