Neil Doncaster has responded to criticism from Hearts and Partick Thistle over their relegations. Both clubs, along with Stranraer, faced the drop in April when the Scottish season was brought to an early finish, with no reconstruction package voted through to save them.Hearts and Thistle took the case to court but their fates were confirmed on Monday when an SFA arbitration process came to an end, confirming their relegations while ruling that the clubs were due no compensation.
Later that evening Jambos owner Ann Budge slammed the SPFL for inflicting "financial damage" on the clubs that went down, and also criticised a statement in which Doncaster said the arbitration verdict "vindicated" his organisation.
