Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service say the incident on Mellor Street is 'under control'. Pictures from the scene show firefighters in hazmat suits in the yard of chemical manufacturers Texchem.Part of Mellor Street is closed and the service has issued a warning to those living nearby.A spokesperson for GMFRS said: "Firefighters were called to reports of a chemical incident on Mellor Street, Rochdale, at around 10am on Friday."Two engines from Rochdale station and one from Littleborough quickly attended the scene. "Upon arrival fire crews established there has been a potential chemical leak.
