Chelsea will not be re-signing Manchester City's Nathan Ake this summer but the defender is reportedly pleased with the deal collapsing.It was agreed that the former Bournemouth player would remain at the Etihad for the considerable future after being heavily linked with a move back to Stamford Bridge.

But now The Athletic reports that the Dutch defender will be going staying put and that he is 'pleased' that’s the case.It had even been reported that personal terms were agreed for him to join Thomas Tuchel's side - but Man City pulled the plug, believing him to be a crucial player in the side, who offers a great deal of versatility.
