deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Buyers at the EFM have been on the hunt for Good Sex. The package has sparked a bidding war with Warner Bros, Amazon and Netflix among those understood to be in the mix for the hot project which is garnering WW offers around the $45M mark.
This could well go up. Oscar winner Natalie Portman is set to star in the buzzy rom-com package, written and to be directed by Golden Globe winner Lena Dunham (Girls).
CAA Media Finance and Film Nation Entertainment launched the project ahead of the market and it has drawn strong interest from theatrical buyers and streamers at an otherwise quiet EFM so far in terms of splashy dealmaking.
This is zeitgeisty fare. After Babygirl and Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, age gap romances are in vogue and in Good Sex it’s Portman’s turn to have a dalliance with a younger man.
