Todd Spangler NY Digital Editor The NAACP is launching original podcast series “Our Culture, Our Stories,” promising intimate and “unfiltered” conversations with an array of media and entertainment luminaries about navigating adversity, celebrating excellence and fostering community strength.
Guests appearing in the 12-episode series include: actors Sterling K. Brown, Ryan Michelle Bathé, Hill Harper and Aja Naomi King; comedian Roy Wood Jr.; documentary filmmaker Dawn Porter; Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth Carter; academic and TV personality Henry Louis Gates; journalists Scott Evans and Trymaine Lee; authors Dr.
Ibram X. Kendi, Brea Baker and LaDarrion Williams; and actor-social activist Kendrick Sampson. Additional guests are to be announced later. “Our Culture, Our Stories” premieres Thursday, Jan.
9, on major podcast platforms including Spotify and Apple Podcasts. The podcast is a companion to the NAACP Image Awards, celebrating excellence in the arts.
