'My monster stepdad raped me when I was eight - then made a vile admission years later'

Michelle Sallis was subjected to horrific sexual abuse by her stepdad David Sallis. When she confronted him in front of their family years later, he would go on to make a vile admission, revealing: "I just wanted to know what it felt like to have sex with someone else." The 27-year-old, from Wigan, said she could sense 'even as a little girl that he was a monster'.
She has now bravely waived her right to anonymity to reveal what happened to her, in a bid to help other victims - as Sallis begins a 14-year jail term. It was the one place I should have felt safe," Michelle said. "From the moment I met him, I was wary of him and anxious around him.
