This is why one bride-to-be was left stunned when her cousin asked to make a special "announcement" during her wedding. The woman, who shared her story on Reddit, revealed her cousin - whom she gave the fake name Emily - wanted to announce her own engagement at the event.

Despite being happy for her cousin, the bride-to-be felt it was inappropriate and would distract from her and her partner's special day.She explained: "I congratulated her but immediately told her that my wedding day wasn’t the right time or place for her announcement.
