A mother was asleep in bed when she received a chilling phone call from her teenage daughter, warning her: "There's somebody in the house".
Laura Hind, 36, was awoken at 3am after the 14-year-old - who was sleeping in a back yard cabin - saw the intruder climbing through a window at their home.
In a panic, Laura dialled 999 - but it was already too late. The masked man had already swiped her handbag and car keys, handing them to an accomplice outside.
He then unlocked the back door of her home in Norris Green, Liverpool, from within and drove off in her £19,000 Peugeot car.
