A mum has been told she only has months left to live after she put off getting a smear test due to being "scared and embarrassed".
Tasha Doran, 40, was previously given the all-clear after being diagnosed with cervical cancer and rung the bell to celebrate the news in August last year.But not long after her post-cancer journey, the gran-to-be and former deli worker began feeling “sharp shooting pains” in her groin.
Specialists told her was a normal response to the radiation therapy that had ravaged her body. After the pain persisted, Tasha was referred for scans in May this year and told her cancer had tragically returned.Medics told her she has months, rather than years, left to live.
Tasha, from Pembroke Dock in Wales, told Wales Online: “I broke down when they told me. They hadn’t got through telling me before I ran out of the room crying and collapsed to the floor."I can’t describe that feeling.
